About Us

Established as a foundry in 1888, we originally serviced the shipping, fishing, mining, and logging industries. Over time, foundry work was replaced with machining, metal fabrication, industrial installation and maintenance.

Nanaimo Foundry's modern facility built in 1999 sits on eight acres within the Chemainus Industrial Park on Vancouver Island, BC. Our large and extensive lay down area allows diversity in any scope of work.

Nanaimo Foundry employs machinists, welders, metal fabricators, engineers and supporting staff in estimating, scheduling, planning, accounting and shipping. In addition, Nanaimo Foundry provides diversified crews of millwrights, welders, riggers, pipe fitters and machinists for extensive maintenance, field machining and project work.

Our areas of expertise include the pulp and paper, forestry, mining and aggregate industries along with industrial manufacturing.
